*课文内容介绍(Teaching content)
Main points and keywords help understand and memorize a passage more easily. Asking ‘WH’questions can help find the main points and keywords. A letter by Cindy is offered as a model. Cindy is a reader of ‘Teenagers’magazine. She has got some problems so she writes to the editor.
Such teaching material will not only help the students to get a better idea of how to look for main points and keywords, but also arouse students’interest in teenagers’problems.

4. Develop students’interest in teenagers’problems and the way to solve them.
5. Learn to co-operate with others and know the importance of team spirit.

Teacher: Don’t worry, because in today’s class, we are going to talk about how to read faster and understand a passage better. Reading a passage will be easier by looking for main points and keywords of the passage.
*This part is designed to lead the students to get to the topic. The questions should generate totally different answers, thus making it a good opportunity for talking about reading. Encourage the students to speak out their opinions on reading English passages.
