　　Teaching steps(教学过程设计)
　　Step 1. Learning new words of the text and make the students work hard.

　　tick-tock  n. 钟表的滴答声
　　yet  adv. 还; 仍旧
　　half   n. 一半
　　half an hour 半小时
　　quarter  n. 刻; 四分之一
　　past   prep. (指时间)晚于;在…… 之后
　　Step 2. Explain the text and know about the language notes.
　　1. What does this clock say? 这表几点了？say 在句中的意思是”显示”
　　e.g. The clock says three o’clock.  时钟显示三点整。
　　Step 3. And then explain to the class how to express time.
　　时刻表达法
　　1) 时在前, 分在后,直接用基数词来表达.
　　例如: 2:30 two thirty
　　2) 分在前, 时在后, 分和时之间要加一个介词to或past.
　　当分钟在30之前(包括30)时, 用past;
　　当分钟在30之后时用to, to表示“差”．
　　例如: 2:20 　 twenty past two
　　6:35     twenty-five to seven
　　8:50     ten to nine
　　3) 当分钟是15, 45时用quarter来表示.
　　例如: 9:15  a quarter past nine
　　11:45 a quarter to twelve
　　当分钟是30时, 用half 来表示．
　　例如: 6:30   half past six
　　10:30  half past ten
